[Studio]

We stay small on purpose. It keeps judgment close to the work and leaves nowhere for a weak decision to hide.

How we got here

Before Zolplay, I wrote code at a game studio in Seattle. But I kept drifting toward the edges. The UI. The feel. That moment when someone touches the product and it simply feels right.

Sean, who ran the studio, asked me to build a product with him from zero. There was no grand plan. That trust became Zolplay.

We began in 2021 with one project and one belief. Work made with care outlasts work made at volume.

Every project since has tested that belief. It still holds: the details are the whole point.

Those details are never little. They’re the whole point. And the pages that follow are the proof.

What we refuse to trade

Know why first. Before color, type, or code, we find the idea that deserves to hold the whole thing together.

Keep the work visible. We show the real thing early, explain the judgment behind it, and let honest reactions make it better.

Ship the thing you meant. We stay through the last detail so production keeps the intent that made the work worth starting.

The work, in five moves

01

Listen

Before we touch a pixel, we find the real problem. What are you building, who must choose it, what does success look like, and what can the technology support? The brief gets sharper before the work gets prettier.

02

Choose

One direction, clearly argued. We bring strategy and taste into the same decision, explain why we believe in it, test it quickly, and commit. No three safe options waiting for a vote.

03

Make

You see the work while it is becoming. Figma stays open from day one, and we design the flows, components, states, and interactions as one system. The goal is not a beautiful mockup. It is something your team can actually build from.

04

Iterations

Feedback should make the work sharper, not merely different. We share, explain, listen, and refine through comments, recorded walkthroughs, or a quick call. Most teams see real progress in the first week and an initial design round within 5 to 10 days.

05

Ship

Approval is not the finish line. We hand off production-ready assets and annotated specs, or build the thing ourselves. We stay close until what ships carries the same intent as what you approved.
